The Donor Alliance Foundation will provide funding in education about donation and transplantation as a pathway for resources and access to services through nonprofit community health-serving organizations, federally qualified health centers, governmental agencies and other nonprofit service providers.
The Foundation anticipates making grants ranging in size from $5,000 up to $15,000 in the Education program area. The Donor Alliance Foundation makes one-year grants; funds must be expended from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. Because funds are limited, it is anticipated that not all applicants will receive funding.
Education applications must explain how they will meet the overall criteria by demonstrating a plan to:
- Create programs and interventions to increase education about donation and transplantation to populations who may not be aware of their options
- Show how your project meets the needs of patients pre- and post-transplant, who have a financial need with limited or no access to funds
- Increase living donation in Colorado and Wyoming
- Measure and effectively report progress and plans post-funding
